So recently other artists have been posting fan art of Superman, so I thought, you know who needs some attention, Red Son, that's who!  :D  So I went ahead and took the opportunity.  Here you go picture talk fam, enjoy some Red Son why don't you!

Belated Sketch Book Sketches

So here are some of my sketch book sketches I have done from last week.  Was practicing my inking with brush skills that I needed to revisit, I think I did well. :)  This is a character I am working on for a painting concept I hope to do in the future.   I hope you all enjoy!

Cowboys and some Dame's.

Sketches from my sketchbook I did over the week.  Was thinking cowboys and dame's at the time and was trying to see what I could pull from my imagination as I tried to visualize these characters.  I thought they came out pretty good so I threw them up on photoshop today and applied tone to two of the sketches.  Maybe later down road I will finish the whole page.  I hope you all enjoy and comment if you like!

Portrait Studies of the Female: A Study in Rendering Faces

These are just a few studies I have been working on, trying to work on rendering planes and applying tone where is should be as oppose to where it should not. As you can see I slightly progressed with each head and I will continue to do so as I will do more of these to get a better feel of the female face and it's elegance. Of course I need to also work on the male head, but I believe a females is much more difficult because as it is gentle so should your application be with your pencil upon rendering. Well, they each have their levels of difficulties, but you see what I mean. :)
There will be more to come but for now this is all I have. haha! Hope you like, like if you do and please comment if you must. :)

Concepts In Sketch Book.

Here  are some sketches I've been doing for the past few weeks.  Just practicing and trying to pull ideas from my head without reference which is pretty hard and probably not the best way to go about things, but definitely a challenge I met.  I been playing Shadow of the Colossus and have been really inspired by that game, such an amazing game and arguably the best game to ever come out for the PS2.   So I hope you all enjoy whomever comes across these sketches! There will be more to come!

"I Set You Free."

Man I love doing these. I think I will definitely do more of these little pencil pieces. :) Have been inspired a lot by Dice Tsutsumi and Robert Kondo. So this is where my inspiration leads me. I call this "I Set You Free". The idea was to use my pencil as a brush which I did, minimizing line and relying on hatching to depict depth and of course contour. I think I like holding my pencil as a brush, plus you get this really nice shape with the pencil when you do so. It allows for unique lines and subtle marks you wouldn't otherwise get with a sharp point. Hope you like, enjoy!

Check out my first Sketch Book Log!

Here is the final revised and edited version of my most recent digital painting.  I posted it earlier but I kept on going back to it and seeing something wrong and so it became an obsession to the point where I had to fix it.  So here is the final piece, enjoy!

Saturday, February 2, 2013

So I finally finished this concept and let me tell you it was tough.  This is my character that I hope to build up on in the future.  The idea came  to me when I thought about the word possessions, or being possessive to things that are very materialistic.  Since my character is sort of a relic hunter, he tends to get drawn into materialistic items even though they might be troublesome.  I am actually pleased with the final given that I been out of the Photoshop game for a while now. I think it has been 2 months since I last worked in the shop, and I gotta say I'm glad I have come back to it.  I used a lot of reference from taking pictures of myself under the light, to movie shots, and so on and so forth.  I hope you all likes, and hope to bring you more entertainment to your eyes!

Okay, this was tough. Especially when your pen is moving in spots you didn't move towards. haha! It was funny. This is actually just something that inspired me while I was looking at art blogs. So basically it was about being possessive, when we think about possessions and how we are so tied down to them even if it means they are troublesome. Also, Dice Tsutsumi was a big inspiration for this little sketch, after seeing his blog I had to paint something, thank Dice! If you are out there! haha! Anyways, goodnight!

Breaking Myself In

Well seems I have made yet another blog only this time I will keep it freshly updated with sketches, projects, and of course news in my boring daily life.  So please feel free to come on down and check out my blog of fun filled thrills (not really) and excitement (not really again)!!  In all seriousness I really hope to build this blog to be a formidable one and I hope that I can provide you viewers with enough work to have you coming back for more.  I am recently putting out a book which will come out sometime in March , early April and it will consists of two really short stories.  A local writer around here in Corpus Christi by the name of Fabian Rangel has blessed me with the opportunity, and of course I did oblige.  I will also be posting videos of my recent sketch books just to show you my work ethic and how much I love to draw.  I hope you all find my blog to be quite pleasing, and I hope you will tune in and stick around for a while.  Now, time to go draw!!!
